Manufacturing processes

We are your professional partner for high-quality aluminium gravity die casting. In aluminium gravity casting, the molten metal is poured into a permanent metal mould via an overhead sprue, the cavity of which is filled by gravity alone. The free inner contour of the mould corresponds to the outer contour of the workpiece to be produced. Internal workpiece contours are formed by movable steel cores or sand cores. The rapid heat dissipation results in a fine-grained, dense structure with good mechanical properties. We currently produce an average of 1,000 tonnes of finished aluminium gravity die castings per year in 12 melting plants with a crucible capacity of 300 KG – 600 KG.

Aluminium gravity die casting

We are your professional partner for high-quality aluminium gravity die casting.

The permanent mould casting process is a process in which a melt is poured into a permanent metal mould via an overhead sprue, the cavity of which is filled by gravity alone. The rapid heat dissipation results in a fine-grained, dense structure with good mechanical properties.

CNC-Machining

In our Factory 2, where our CNC machining, assembly and warehouse are located, we are currently able to process your orders in-house on 11 CNC 3- and 5-axis machining centres with a maximum travel of 2,100 mm x 860 mm x 760 mm, as well as on 3 CNC 4-axis machining centres with a travel of 800 mm x 800 mm x 800 mm, with pallet changer and a tool magazine with 120 places, and then measure them fully automatically on a 3D measuring machine. Using the latest CAD Cam / Mastercam software, we are able to realise your requirements for you. We are also familiar with the assembly and completion of your components. Measurement reports and acceptance test certificates are a matter of course for us.

Surface finishing

As we not only produce your cast parts, but also supply you with ready-to-use system components, we round off your items with all standard surface finishes. On request, we can of course deliver all your cast parts to you free of grease after processing in our washing systems. Of course, we can finish your castings with a cathodic dip coating, powder coating or painting. If you prefer or if the standard requires it, we can also galvanise your parts decoratively or colour them galvanically. Here we customise our range of services entirely to your requirements and needs.

In our stainless steel foundry in Wetterzeube, our focus is on hand mould casting and small to medium series. Our unit weights range from 0.5 to 3000 kg.

Over 200 alloys are cast in our foundry, from unalloyed to highly alloyed. With this wide variety of materials, our foundry has a considerable vertical range of manufacture. We melt all qualities in our foundries according to DIN in various processes:
e.g. white malleable cast iron, grey cast iron and chilled cast iron.
